“Working with Meredith as my physical therapist has truly been a privilege. With her deep expertise, her keen ability to observe, listen, and assess, then implement engaged care and training - combined with her infectious positivity and delightful personality - every session was a pleasure and SO impactful. She taught me so much about the mechanics and abilities of my body and mind while also helping relieve me of the pain and impediments of my injury. I’ll be empowered with the knowledge she gave me for many decades of a healthier happier body! I simply can’t say enough about the wonderful PT and human that Meredith is - my life is better for having worked with her!”

“Meredith has both a deep and wide knowledge base. As a PT, she has been able to help me with injuries to many body parts. She helped with specific injuries, as well as tying the causal movement patterns into how my whole body moves so that I'm less likely to get reinjured. When I was recovering use of my left side of my body from a stroke, I brought the plan from the stroke specialists and with Meredith's insights was able to make more progress than with the specialists alone. As an instructor, she is clear and provides safe challenges. With all that she does, she conveys warmth and enthusiasm. With her presence you can tell that she loves this work and, with that joy, it feels like a little bit of magic is happening.”

“I did Pilates-based PT with Meredith a couple years ago after decades of intermittent back pain culminating with daily back discomfort and spasms. Even though I was physically active (weight training, cardio, yoga), I was still having pain.

I saw significant improvement as well as new body awareness and proprioception. I continue to do weekly pilates closer to home and feel better than I have in years.

I want to thank Meredith for her kindness and all she did. She was just doing her job, but it made a world of difference to me.”

“Transformative is the word that best describes working with Meredith. She has an exceptional talent for explaining complex anatomical structures and movement patterns, empowering clients to understand not just why their bodies move and feel a certain way, but also how they can experience greater range of motion and pain-free movement. Her gentle, therapeutic approach to sessions allows clients (especially those struggling with chronic pain and injuries) to improve mobility and strength while building healthier and more sustainable movement patterns.”

“I worked with Meredith for two years. She is a wonderful and caring instructor and physical therapist. I have a history of lower back pain and when we first started working together, I had limited range of motion in my spine. I was looking for an instructor who would actually teach me how to do each exercise properly, rather than simply leading me through a Pilates routine. I love that Meredith would take the time to explain not only which muscles to use for a particular exercise, but how to get those muscles to engage and not let other, already stronger muscles, take over. My spinal mobility has improved greatly. I am 60 years old and can twist, arch and round my back further and with more ease than at any other time in my adult life. Thank you, Meredith!”

“As someone who has had loads of PT over the years—from athletic injuries, to ergonomic injuries to post-surgical to bulging lumbar discs— I have never had a PT of Meredith’s caliber! She is truly phenomenal. Her depth of knowledge and her ability to analyze and get to the root of the issue(s) is extraordinary. She is a genuinely caring, enthusiastic professional with a communication style and a mode of teaching which has made my learning and healing all possible! If I find myself in need again, I’m moving to Asheville!”

“I started working with Meredith as I prepared for two total knee replacements. She helped me get into a stronger position so that when I was home recovering I actually did have a good leg to stand on. I was so thankful to work with a PT who understood that working with my body before I had a setback like surgery was worth the effort.

I found that Pilates-based PT helped me literally get back on my feet after surgery much quicker than expected. It was more than working on my knee mobility for Meredith. It was working on my core so that I could have better balance, better posture and overall better health as I faced back-to-back surgery. I could not have been on a trail in Iceland just 8 months after my first total knee replacement without Meredith!”

“Working with Meredith has forever changed how I inhabit my body. I’ve worked with many great practitioners in many modalities due to having an unusual number of physical difficulties, including structural. Meredith is in my all-time top two (tied at the top, to be clear)…and that says a lot! She helped me address and make shifts around areas that had felt beyond help. She helped my body and mind make shifts I had been trying to make for years. Truly mindblowing and revolutionary. Her presence, knowledge, intuition, and cueing are all off the charts. On top of that her kindness, compassion, and patience made me feel so comfortable, safe, and seen, and from there I was able to push even further past my comfort zone. She is not a typical practitioner, but truly a rare gem. If you get a chance to work with her and you’re open to her magic, your life will change for the better.”

“I broke my foot in 2023 at 72 and I realized traditional physical therapy was not what I needed. Meredith was recommended to me by the owner of Inside Out Body Therapies. That was a blest day. Meredith is not only a gifted physical therapist, but she is an excellent teacher and exceptional human being. With her encouragement and skill, I progressed and at 73, I am strong and continue my Pilates’ practice. Meredith has been an inspiration to a group of ladies 60+ of which I am a part. She understands the body and its conditioning at all ages and works with us to improve our strength, our balance and our overall fitness levels. Her cues speak directly to us and help us navigate the physical challenges of aging. She comes with the highest recommendations from us all.”

“I had the pleasure of working with Meredith for PT on two separate occasions over the past couple of years for a neck and back issue and later for rehab of a high ankle sprain. Meredith is a phenomenal physical therapist! She is very skilled and knowledgeable. Her training in Pilates complements her PT interventions, which I believe enhances her ability to cue the client and target areas that one would not think are related to the original problem. Most importantly, her gentle, calm, kind demeanor makes working with her a true pleasure. And my treatment was a success! She will be missed here in Durham. The Asheville community is lucky to have her!!!”

“Meredith is an exceptional physical therapist with an uncanny ability to communicate individual physical needs with proper exercises and helpful cues. Personally, she has helped me overcome a shoulder injury and then come back from a broken foot. Plus, her encouragement and kindness were much appreciated during my rehabilitation. Meredith gets five-star review from me. I feel she was an integral part of my healing. Meredith’s credentials speak for themselves. However, they cannot convey her kindness, her easy manner and her positivity. I credit her with getting me back on track both physically and mentally after injury. Without her knowledge and encouragement, I feel I would not have been successful with my rehabilitation.”
